It is primarily a photo sharing site. Video was introduced as sort of a fun extra and that's all. For serious video hosting downloading photos from flickr, you need to be looking at something like Vimeo or YouTube. They certainly marketed themselves for being a phone back up for videos and photos when I downloaded the app.

Yeah, i'm surprised that no one at Flickr has noticed. It must be causing a huge spike in their bandwidth all downloading photos from flickr repeated failing downloads. My experience has been that each download gets near to end but then stops leaving a corrupt file. Has downloading photos from flickr from Flickr been on this thread yet? Posted 8 days ago. It's been that since day one. To reiterate my earlier question, do you not have your original images anymore? Storing your photos in only one location isn't a backup.

Last time I tried almost 2 months ago, same thing. I pay for this service, like you, and I really am beyond frustrated that after 2 years this is still not fixed. I never recommend Flickr anymore. It's a shame because at one time I was quite the fan. Same issue for me - I just want to download my photos so I can migrate them elsewhere and downloading photos from flickr my Yahoo account. It's unbelievable how this is still happening after years.

Also there is a option in camera roll downloading photos from flickr that's not the point, I should be able to do it from my photo stream and albums Posted 2 months ago. Been struggling for days now and it still failed. Even tried with multcloud but the speed is horribly slow. So sick of Flickr's issues. Brilliant service Posted 2 months ago. Same issue since years Network error. I've a lot of albums that I can't download and I use to be a PRO user, really disappointing experience.

Years ago I was on here every day. Now it's a chore to get anything to work right Right now I am also having the download problem. Yes I am having download problems too with just ONE photo? Well I just hovered over the bottom of the photo I wanted to download, where the buttons should be and I got the hand and then the download popped up out of the downloading photos from flickr also the share button and edit for Aviary button is there although it's useless. So I did manage to download my photo but this is stupid needs fixing.

Just because they allow all members to have 1 TB of free storage does downloading photos from flickr mean Flickr has changed the core model which is and has always been a photo sharing site. If you know something that has come from Flickr that says otherwise then please share.

Yes I have, sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. Hopefully I'll get all my old videos back so I'll never have to deal with this headache again. The help pages are a terrible place to bury a limitation like that when promising automatic storage to people.

Photos Video Accepted content types: Which makes it impossible to upload pics. I thought it was just this group, but I am having the same problem with every group. I have a similar problem No, your issue is not related at all to the subject of this topic. You have zoomed your web browser. Hit control-zero command-zero on a Mac to reset the zoom level to normal. Sorry to have bothered you. Your advice was helpful, thank you. I am attempting to download a Zip file of one of my albums.

Thanks for reaching out to us, we're taking a look at the issue. Could you downloading photos from flickr us a screenshot of the error to help us troubleshoot? Same error in all browsers, and on multiple computers and even from different users. Seems like if I only download photos at a time then it sometimes work. What I'm trying to download is larger movie files not sure how big, but a few minutes each. The downloading photos from flickr album I am having problems downloading was finally done, thanks to myself, had to go in and click 1 by 1, over times.

That tends to work when the file sizes get larger and you aren't hardwired in with an ethernet connection. Thanks for your reply, and I gotta say, it's good to see someone which is part of the staff answering for a change.

Flickr can't possibly promote every single detail of the site to new users. Since video is not the focus of the site, I can understand it being pretty far down on the list of things to tout. Video was certainly enough of a focus to promote at the top of their description. Even standard usage of the app after download doesn't inform of that feature. Its dishonest to not alert your users that you are shortening their videos after promising 1tb free storage for videos and photos.

See why I feel like there has been some poor follow through on what's advertised? It's in the Flickr help pages: Video playback has been three minutes for a few years now, up from the previous limit of 90 seconds. In regards to the errors, have you tried these browser troubleshooting steps? Other than that, I really don't do video here so am not sure what else to suggest.

Tried different browsers and networks. Anyone from Flickr reading this thread? Pages are loading but with no graphics of any kind for me, last 30 minutes or so I am trying to download a large album. There is nothing consistent. Posted 10 days ago.

Unfortunately, my advice remains. Please refrain from posting pre-made answers that are not helpful at all and only make these issues become buried even deeper: As you can see from a quick search in these forums, this issue has been happening for the past 2 years.

I didn't realize so many others were, as well. It varies between different album sizes. I've tried it on other computers, different browsers, clearing my cache, removing any videos, etc. Is any resolution coming? Same problem - any updates or solutions Posted 4 months ago.

So please, go ahead and try to batch download your albums, before copying and pasting the usual steps like restart your machine or use a different browser. That would help a lot more and possibly allow us to nail down the issue if it happens that it is not reproducible to everyone. Personally, I'm not trying to protect Flickr, but to clarify incorrect information, which never helps anyone.

I used flickr to share photos from downloading photos from flickr wedding that we had abroad, and also photos from a 4 month trip. I have also tried different browsers, album sizes, computers etc. Also, the people who i have shared the photos with are unable to download them HELP PLEASE Posted 3 months ago.

Anyone from Flickr watching this? Hi kbrenn92, I apologize, I thought my reply to you in our private thread was sent, but looks like it didn't. We are still looking at the issue and will provide updates.

However this is not the purpose of this discussion and I don't understand the need to protect Flickr on this. The matter here is about a broken feature that dates back years downloading photos from flickr can find 2 year old topics on this, people unable to batch download albums.

Now I found out, that it is downloading photos from flickr possible. I have found flickr downloader to be the solution to downloading my albums. I have downloaded around photos in the last 24 hr. I did have to fiddlie with some settings to get the original files names and tags, but it is working perfectly now. In another recent thread on this issue someone from flickr finally ackowledged the problem and said they were investigating. I've been getting the same problem.

Thank you for your patience! I've been having this same problem all year. I used to use Flickr as my phone downloading photos from flickr up but can't download many of my videos to my computer. My longest video is maybe 5 minutes and Flickr will give me sooooo many errors. I've had to try over 20 times to get some videos to download and I have a few that have never worked. I switched to Google photos as my backup in March and have absolutely no issues so I know its not a problem on my end.

I am now ready to shut down all my accounts. Now to decide using free Google photo or pay for smugmug. Any movement on this? I really need those videos.

I don't have to mess with 5 different devices and perform manual backups If you use just one backup method, whatever that method is, then downloading photos from flickr be surprised that at one time you will lose all. Anyways, I gave up on Flickr altogether and am using a python script to download all my pictures in original format, rather than using batch download Posted 5 months ago. My backup source is Flickr, that's the main purpose of these services The main purpose of Flickr is that of a casual, personal, photo sharing website.

It seems that this trouble has been going on for quite some time. At this point the choice seems to be: Sometimes it works, sometimes not. The pic album is not possible at all. Justin, I am also having the same problems with my computer have they had any updates that you know of? Flickr HAS been marketed as a back up app otherwise it wouldn't automatically back up camera photos.

This makes it such a nightmare to migrate to Google Photos. Yeah, I used to love Flickr but unfortunately it cannot keep pace with competitors. Flickr's iOS App says it uploaded every thing, but ends up missing out videos specially a few slow motion ones from iPhoneand of course Live Photos which Google Photos supports but Flickr doesn't. Unfortunately flickr feels like an abandoned product, haven't seen new significant features in a while.

We are trying to find a solution here for people like me and the OP who are desperately trying to retrieve their images I suppose your next step would be to contact staff to try and have them investigate any downloading photos from flickr issues with your account, since this does not appear to be a site-wide issue. If it were, this forum would be flooded with hundreds of complaints and 97 different topics all on the same subject.

Trying to download albums or selected camera roll photos and keep getting network errors over and over. Any suggestions to get these to actually download? Have you tried these browser troubleshooting steps?

I am a Pro member. I take if you've made no progress thus far in determining a cause? I've been trying for 2 years! It is very hit and miss. For example, last night I was able to download two albums quite easily and downloading photos from flickr I have been receiving the network error message ever since.

But is simply doesn't finish downloading the whole album It makes no sense that people need to download their pictures one per one instead of the whole album. Posted 4 months ago. I've been having this issue for years, as well.

Did you do all the trouble-shooting as presented on this page: Is strange but worked perfect. Doesn't work for other someone else's albums Posted 6 weeks ago. Downloading photos from flickr 6 weeks ago. This works perfectly, download all original photos in one batch: I'm also getting this problem to can't seem to connect to Flickr probably. Even if I do comes it up with network downloading photos from flickr after a few minutes on google chrome on downloading photos from flickr downloads part and on internet explorer.

Tried everything like downloading photos from flickr said here. I had to use a feature in the Camera Roll as last resort, where you select a bunch of images and then press 'Download' at downloading photos from flickr bottom. Interestingly, I was choosing about 2 rows of images 22 images about ish MB, almost always succeeding to download. But those images were from an iPhone 7 Plus, as soon as I reached parts of the album where I had images from my Nikon, I would only be able to complete 1 row 11 images as they have higher file size.

There're tons of complaints in the forum, just filtering google with search results from the forum related to this matter yields a lot of them. I'm pretty confident that if you try it on some of your albums they need to be large you'll have the issue. As you mentioned smaller batches work for you.

I cold be years downloading all my photographs. Time to consider alternatives to Flicker. Anyone find any fixes? Posted 3 weeks ago. I am unsuccessful with this too. I have tried safari, firefox and chrome. Was this ever looked into? Posted 2 weeks ago. Sad times man trying and trying. Norton reports the file as unsafe and deletes it on download. Posted 1 week ago. Download Network Error when downloading an album.

That's the market downloading photos from flickr which they are not competitive. They are sharing sites. Downloading photos from flickr isn't a storage site either. That's certainly one way to use Flickr, but it's not the primary focus: Failed - Network Error 2.

Please secure ALL your images away from this site as there appear downloading photos from flickr be major problems. And how exactly to do that?! I can only download two photographs at a time.

Not in good faith imho. I only go there when I need help. Not to find out about basic app features. I can't say the reason, but perhaps it wasn't promoted as it's not a new feature. Perhaps because its not a feature that downloading photos from flickr well. Doesn't matter how new it is if you're trying to get new users. Everything is new to them. Hiding that from them is dishonest. Tried another browser and no dice. Still had an error on the download. I guess we will have downloading photos from flickr agree to disagree.

Tried doing it on a different computer still the same. Even on different routers and my o2 network carrier. Still get network error or page can't be displayed. It's like Flickr is facing a terrible issue connecting or something.? Posted 5 weeks ago. Problem here as well. All cash cleared, browser restarted Firefoxand I keep getting the Bad Gateway error.

Failed - No File 3. The download completes like normal but when I go to extract it says the file is empty. No mention of the 3 minute limit anywhere.

I'm having to download every picture individually because I'm getting the same Network Error message. Posted 3 months ago.

Something on server side is closing the connection. This downloads files on a single file basis so you can recover them, and if it happens to fail, passing the option noOverwrite will allow you to downloading photos from flickr the download of the album as already downloaded images are downloading photos from flickr. Anyways it would be good to get this issue fixed but Downloading photos from flickr support has been non existent and trying to call has had no downloading photos from flickr what so ever.

I'm paying money as premium user for a service with no direct support or even customer chat support- only a help forum? I'm getting the Network Error, too, and would like it resolved as quickly as possible. Any ideas when that might happen?

I've been a member since the stone ages and can't believe the level of unhelpfulness from staff in this thread. Sometimes the DL interrupts at 1GB, sometimes at MB and sometimes about five bytes before completion. Extremely frustrating and no apparent rhyme nor reason. Posted 9 days ago. Flickr appears to be a big downloading photos from flickr of bandwidth and nobody seems to care.

Print screen on the link uploadpie. To add - Bad Getaway occurs every time I try to download some of the predefined image sizes, like Original, Large, etc. View all sizes opens the default page, but then you try to display any other size, image does not appear.

I will ask for my money back and downloading photos from flickr those people to the court! This forum is not helpful! I tried Flickr 3 weeks ago, and was so impressed. Somebody help me, because I'm almost gone! I don't have time to search the internet for hours for a solution.

I just joined Flickr today as pro user. And have also this problem. My clients can't simply download their album. The download stopssometimes after MB, sometimes after MB, sometimes after MB.

Sometimes it works often it doesn't - so I presume that means the problem is not my end. Large files are particularly prone to this. Posted 2 months ago. The only problem is that FlickrDownloader only works for your own albums. I want a solution for other albums which are downloadable. Network errors downloading zip files of movies. Downloading photos from flickr a useless website! The same problems go on for years and the staff is nowhere to be found.

As you can see from my previous posts and from other users affected, we have tried pretty much everything and have singled out the possibility of this being a client side issue, but I'll duplicate said list here for your convenience: But turns out that was just luck, as regardless of whether or not the albums have videos, this issue happens. I've had large albums where the zip files were huge, and they would fail sometimes at MB, sometimes at MB.

Very very frustrating to lose videos of my kids this way on what I thought would be a good host site. My longest video is maybe 5 minutes and Flickr will give me sooooo many errors As a Free account, your videos are going to be truncated at the 3 minute mark when you download them. Playback on flickr is 3 minutes for any and all accounts, Free or Pro alike. Almost all of mine are under the 3 minute mark. Length is clearly not the issue. I know you didn't say the length caused the problems, just clarifying for any staff who downloading photos from flickr be looking into it.

Started them all together, first one arrived MB and completed, all rest failed. Not even one downloaded!!! Starting one, arriving MB, suddenly the network drops to 0 and error. Trying another, 50MB and same error. C'mon, thats a shame! Downloading photos from flickr have a similar problem. I have just joined a group selective color but when I try to add a photo to the group there are words covering the ADD TO GROUP BOX: View the group rules.

I keep getting this network error too. It varies from small albums with a few pics and videos to larger albums with many videos. Posted 5 months ago. Same problem here too - on some videos. Maybe it is videos that go longer than 3 minutes but I should still be able to download them! When requested to download it, I got like 6 links due the size.

As I said before, with several devices going through a household a year, from iPads, iPods, different iPhones, the idea of these services is to avoid the pain in backing up things manually, and even though this might not have been Flickr's initial objective and selling point, it certainly became one when they shifted their priorities to try and play against services like Google Photos, Dropbox, Box, on that matter. So no I don't have access to those mobile devices anymore as they were sold, were part of a previous company, lost, etc, that would be when my backup on Flickr became my only source.

Try a different browser. Try disabling any add-ons ad blockers, etc that you may be running. Posted 6 months ago. I'm having the same problem. Tried Safari, Chrome, Firefox. Even tried different computers. I may have to click the photos one by one and download it individually. This piece of flickr rubbish suck. If your server cannot support downloading of whole album smoothly, then dont even offer that as a feature.
